Meet the ELEGOO Neptune 4 Max, an FDM 3D printer that reaches up to 500mm/s and runs a 300℃ high-temp nozzle. Build space measures 420x420x480mm³ (16.53x16.53x18.89 inch), and filament travels through a dual-gear direct extruder.
- Klipper firmware, already on board: Klipper ships installed, so printing speeds climb to 500mm/s (250mm/s by default) with accelerations up to 8000mm/s. Input shaping and pressure advance are supported. Acceleration sensors on the X and Y axes take care of automatic calibration, which sharpens print quality.
- Room for ambitious parts: That 420x420x480mm³ build volume swallows large models or a whole batch of smaller objects in a single run.
- Dual-gear direct extruder: A 5.2:1 reduction ratio keeps filament feed reliable and extrusion even. Heat escapes through the full titanium alloy throat pipe, which cuts clogging and holds performance steady.
- 300°C High-Temp Nozzle Kit: Temperatures go as high as 300°C. An extended hot end, the 60W ceramic heating element and a brass heating block melt filament quickly and evenly. Nozzle PID parameters calibrate automatically, so temperature control stays stable.
- Auto bed leveling, plus a hand check: The 121 (11x11) point auto bed leveling system does the measuring first. Hand-twist knobs then let you fine-tune, which is how the first layer comes out right every time.
- Cooling that keeps pace: Two 4015 thickened double-sided cooling fans and a 3010 ball-bearing blower fan sit in the print head. Behind it, two 6025 ball-bearing blower fans chill the fresh filament fast, limiting warping and giving cleaner overhangs and bridges.
