DLP build, right out of the box: The ELEGOO MARS 4 DLP prints with Texas Instruments DLP technology, firing the 405 nm beam straight onto the bottom of the resin tank at up to 95% light uniformity. Tempered glass stands in for the usual LCD panel and passes up to 95% of that light, so diffusion and stray light drop off. Full-gray antialiasing then softens the jagged edges, which shows on the finished surface.
2W+ hours of projector life: That projector is rated for 20,000+ hours. Set it beside the 2,000 hours an LCD screen gives you and the gap is 10x, so screen replacement and its maintenance costs mostly disappear.
Low draw, near-silent running: Operating power sits at 12W, about 1/7 of what an LCD printer pulls. Less power means less heat, so there's no cooling fan at all, and print noise stays below 48 dB.
A stiffer Z axis: The linear rail goes from 15 mm to 20 mm, which cuts the vibration amplitude during Z-axis movement and tones down layer patterning on the model. A sandblasted build plate grips well and helps prints finish rather than slip.
Slicing in Voxeldance Tango: Choose static mode, or dynamic mode with its smooth and high-speed settings. In dynamic mode the software adjusts print speed to each layer's cross-sectional size, easing release force and pushing printing efficiency up. ELEGOO also opened a new GOO slicing format, readable by multiple slicers without restriction.
Cleaner air around the machine: A USB-powered air purifier with activated carbon inside absorbs and filters resin odor. There's also ELEGOO's first large air purifier for photocuring (247*210*410 mm), designed to remove formaldehyde and up to 80% of VOC.
